Jim Nooney is CEO of Nooney Controls. Established in 1982, Nooney Controls is a valve automation integrator serving customers primarily in the domestic and international power generation and energy sector with application specific custom control valves and valve automation.
Jim has been the CEO since 2001, overseeing 3X growth over the past 18 years with 2018 revenue of $18M. Nooney Controls has 27 employees and is continually working on growing good to great culture which is a large part of their success.
Personally, Jim Nooney resides in Charlestown, RI with his wife Linda who he has been married to for 30 years. Jim & Linda have 4 daughters ranging in age from 16-27. Jim is active in leadership at the Harbor Church in West Kingston, RI and is also involved with Hope in Jesus Prison Ministry at the RI ACI Medium Security.
Established in 1982, Nooney Controls began as a manufacturer’s representative, promoting industrial control valve, specialty valve and valve automation products. Over time, Nooney Controls’ focus has evolved into providing high quality, application-specific valve automation with an emphasis on customization.
Today, 39 years later, Nooney Controls has grown to three offices from Rhode Island to Buffalo, New York with headquarters in N. Kingstown, Rhode Island. Nooney Controls operates the most complete and capable valve automation center in the northeast with CAD/CAM, in-house machine shop, weld shop, paint facility, pressure and seat leak test stand, multiple 5-ton overhead cranes, hydraulic HPU and six assembly work stations, high capacity compressor system and laser etching equipment. With high quality products, experienced and dedicated employees, significant product inventory and complete automation center, Nooney Controls is focused on flexibility and quick response without sacrificing quality.
